Cultural care
Suited to most soil types which are moist but well draining. Low water requirements once established but do not allow to dry out during extended periods of heat. During display period remove spent flower stems to promote new blooms then in late autum cut foliage back hard to promote a dense habit. Apply a slow release fertiliser during early spring for best results. May become herbaceous in areas with heavy frosts with fresh foliage re-appearing in spring.
