Botanical Name: Brunoniella pumilio Little Blue Trumpets

Variety Profile

A colourful native groundcover which is under threat in its natural habitat in Victoria. Blue, funnel-like flowers continuously stud attractive, evergreen foliage from summer through to autumn. Ideal for coastal zones.

Cultural Care

Water requirements are medium. Once established, quite dry tolerant requiring only occasional long soak during extended periods of heat. Low maintenance and easy to grow. Apply a slow release fertiliser for natives in spring to encourage profuse flowering. A light prune after main flowering flush will help to encourage a dense habit.

Plant Uses

Will cascade over retaining walls or over rockeries to soften harsh edges. Can be grown easily in larger containers for paved or other hard surfaced areas.  Will fit neatly into small garden environments.
